  1. Oh, Ruthe, I am so sorry. He was beautiful and that picture is precious. I know you will have good memories.

  2. So sorry to hear about Fred. I know he had a wonderful life with you and I know you made it so special for him…just like you make our lives so special.

  3. Last year we lost a cat named Fred. He was a seal point rag-a-muffin with blue eyes. I still miss his crazy antics. Animals are so important in our lives, sort of like plants fill a special place.

  4. Oh Ruth…I’m so sorry…pets are such great friends…it sounds like you really had a wonderful one in Fred:)

  5. Steve, I am sorry for you loss. Ruth you are a good friend and I know you will be a source of comfort. The picture is priceless… thanks for helping the healing to begin.

  6. Nothing to add to the above wonderful comments! The photo is priceless, so adorable. Love to you and Steve… xoxoxox

  7. When you lose a precious animal, it’s actually losing a beloved member of your family – he’ll be up there in Kitty Heaven with my cats Sugar and Honey.

  8. So sorry Ruthie…Fred definitely lived a long, and I know, a pampered life! How lucky he was to have you as his Mom!

  9. Aww Ruth. I’m sorry. What a handsome guy… and look at him holding onto the flower. So cute! I hope the pic helps you remember him the way you want to.

  11. Really it is striking how similar our two boys were, right down to shoving their noses into cut flowers. Was it the carnations he was after? Cat couldn’t resist them.

    • Yes. Carnations. Thanks for prompting me and our whole family in Ohio (at breakfast eating steel cut oats) to remember our beloved Murph!

      • Brilliant on both counts! I wonder what it was about carnations? MasterB isn’t bothered.
I hope the Murph stories brought lots of smiles and shared memories.
