Weekly Photo Challenge: Opportunity A set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something The sound of the engine caught my ear. I looked up. Had camera in hand, CLICK. The auto focus found the tree and utility pole but got the fire engine between as it whizzed by. I was going to visit my friend S and have tea in her artist's studio (formerly garage) last September. My camera does that, it will focus on what I don’t want. Nice capture.
Auto-focus can disappoint but when it is a rush, what can you do?
Most fire engines go by so fast that they are a blur to the human eye. This was a good opportunity to capture a fire truck as seen by the human eye. I like it!
You are so right. Just lucky.
I always like the stories behind your photos.
Thanks. And my friends are loving your blog recipes!
Wow! That was some fast reaction! with an incredible shot!
Lucky, I think, on that one. If I hadn’t had the camera out already it would not have happened.
Opportunity knocked, and you answered. Wow; impressive!
Thanks Stef. Hoping for more opportunities and that I can hear the knocking!
Ah, but it works…
Well done, while the firetruck snoozing 🙂
The fire brigade can give some great photo opportunities – trouble is, you don’t usually have time to change your autofocus selection as they speed by on a shout! Good effort 🙂
But it all came together so well!
