We were in Kiddie Land at Kennywood Amusement Park in West Mifflin, PA. Β There were several rides my granddaughter Anna couldn’t ride with her brothers and sisters because she’s grown too tall.
She squeaked by into this one.
Here are fellow bloggers posts for the Weekly Photo Challenge: Growth.
What a pretty granddaughter you have. Growing up does have its downside for sure. My granddaughter is now too big for the play area in their local shopping mall, but her brother and sister can still enjoy it. She’s also not impressed. π
Beautiful picture
Ah, growing pains. About the only time in her young life when she’ll regret growing up — at a kiddie amusement park.
What a beautiful girl she is. This brought back memories of my kids standing against the measure too to see it they could/couldn’t meet a ride’s requirement. π
Happy weekend!

Beautiful granddaughter you have! Perfect for the theme.
Anna is a beauty! I can see both Mark and Erika when I look at her.
Great response to the theme
What a beautiful picture!
A beautiful little girl.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
What’s funny is that usually kids want to reach a certain height to be able to ride the more grown up rides. This is the opposite and I so understand.
Dear Anna,
Its more fun to be tall forever than to go on a ride for a day.
Love,
Your Tall Aunt
Nothing to add after Laura’s comment: priceless!!! π
Oh these limited are torture when they are almost there, but not quite⦠Great post!

There a that fine line between being too small and too big……..a rite of passage….
a beautiful portrait. how nice that your granddaughter could still enjoy this ride one more time. it actually brings to mind a completely unrelated and yet somewhat similar memory. i remember as a child how my feet would swing when sitting, and i could hardly wait to grow tall enough so that my feet could touch the ground. that day came soon enough, and then i wished that i would be able to swing my feet once again π

This is one time when slouching is acceptable. π Beautiful shot Ruth. (Of course, it helps when you also have beautiful models.)
Growing up has its disadvantages π
