Yes, it’s a thrill ride. Watching it from the ground with a 70-200 lens, you’re mesmerized.
You wonder why a person would want to get buckled in and subject oneself to the sensation.

Phantom’s Revenge at the Red Light
After I drove Jack and Maura to Aunt Linda’s and Uncle Frank’s (where I got to sample cookies for the wedding cookie table tomorrow) I pulled into the Kennywood Parking Lot drive at the bottom of their hill.
I marvel at roller coaster design, engineering, construction and contemplate the desire of those who ride,
ed the clouds and the people headed up to the first drop.
Showing the final shot first. The clouds looked threatening for sure..
Anticipation- I watched and listened to the riders scream.
Outlook Drive View of the Mill on the Monongahela River
A favorite place to capture the look of yesteryear but it is tonight. Right now. 2014 from West Mifflin across the Monongahela River.
After being with the family up on VistaView I drove down Outlook Drive. The leaves aren’t full yet and I found a good clearing between two homes.
Propped the camera up onto the passenger window ledge and tried to get a steady shot with a long shutter.
That mill is working all day and night every day and I just drive by for a glimpse a couple of times every year.
I have posted the mill at night a few times but I never get tired of seeing it. Here is it in the snow

Don’t know the people who paid an extra $15 to be pulled up high on a cable and released. It sure looks high!

Black Widow Adds a Lot of Screams to the Park
Back and forth, as a pendulum.
Spin round and round simultaneously. Not to mention the height. Oh my.
I shot this angle at dusk.
No, I did not ride it but was fascinated by the long lines of people waiting to get onto it and be scared out of their minds. The screams rated high in decibels.

We were in Kiddie Land at Kennywood Amusement Park in West Mifflin, PA. There were several rides my granddaughter Anna couldn’t ride with her brothers and sisters because she’s grown too tall.
