This is a first: Purple carrots. Gorgeous. <3
Thank you. I thought at first they were black
I’d love to have some. I’ve only seen deep red, but these look just as delicious. xo
They didn’t look inviting to sample but were a striking contrast to the other colors.
Do they taste any different Ruth?
Rainee, I haven’t eaten them. Just photographed them -but will have to do so and report my findings .
Unusual!
Later this summer, my CSA will deliver “rainbow carrots” that include orange, red, and purple in the bunch. Who knew?
New to me but certainly eye catching. Look forward to hearing about how they taste.
Oh yes, I’ve seen these but can’t quite bring myself to try them!
I should have bought at least one and eaten it to report! Thanks Gilly.
First time I’ve seen purple carrots Ruth. Great shots as well. I think the purple with the yellow carrots will make for a nice and colourful carrot salad. I wonder if they taste the same? 😀
I adore rainbow carrots! We grow purple, orange, and white in our winter garden. Love the picture 🙂
They don’t look so glamorous in their “gnarly” state, but they are all scrumptious boiled, roasted, or steamed! Yum, yum.
I should have bought some. I will next time I see them -thanks Stef
I see the purple potatoes in the Eagle often —- now I’ll look for the carrots!! XOXOXO
They look amazing! Yum!
