Blurry Phone Photos Rectified

Who knew that the LifeProof waterproof iPhone case would create the blurriest phone photos due to the plastic cover over the camera lenses?

Everyone but me!

That’s right. It’s a thing. All over the Internet, reviews tell of this problem . The plastic cover on the phone back over the lenses gets all scratched and cannot be clear. Even if you are wiping with a microcloth meant for the task

There was one solution to the problem.

Remove it! The phone case is no longer leakproof, waterproof but I take phone photos in focus.

Here’s what I’m talking about

My case is no longer protecting my phone from water but my photos will be clear and in focus.

  1. Ruth – I love this post, and I strongly agree with you. I’m just an amateur photographer, but I can’t even begin to tell you how much it bothers me when one of my photos is blurry. Aaaarrrggghhh!!!! So I think it’s important to have a case for any cell phone, but it doesn’t have to be waterproof. I would forget about the waterproof feature, and just get a case that would protect the phone if I drop it. After all, how often do you drop your phone into water? Or maybe I shouldn’t ask! 🙂

  2. That is quite a difference. Glad you found out and shared the info. I wouldn’t have known either.

  3. My fre case is less than 6 months too. I think i’ll be doing the same. Disappointing though! The old cases lasted a year before I noticed this happening, I wonder if they changed the plastic quality.

    • Old thread but I think the single lens camera could deal with it but the triple can’t. My old case was pretty much destroyed but still took good pics… upgraded my phone, got a new phone, and now I have the same issue.

  4. Yes, mine too. Lasted less than 6 months and has not had a hard life. A poor quality product for the money paid!

  5. THANK YOU!! It works and I’m just hoping that my camera doesn’t get scratched – I think I just need to be more careful with it. Thank you again!

Thanks for your visit. It's always good to hear you stopped by.
