This looks so good, Ruth. I haven’t thought of Marian Burros in years but I went to my bookshelf and I have two of her cookbooks. Pure and Simple from 1978 – recipes for additive-free cooking. And Keep it Simple from 1981 – 30 minute meals from scratch. I think she was ahead of her time.

Looks delicious! Thank you for sharing the recipe, it looks quick and easy. I’ll add it to my must try recipes.
I love fruit in any way shape or form. Your photo is perfect. You plum torte has my mouth watering this morning. I can almost taste it.
Looks good enough to eat!
I can’t recall the last time I ate a plum. Years and years. That torte. What a culinary work of art.
Looks delicious – and simple to make to boot. Do the plums turn into prunes in the oven?
