The Vernal Equinox at 5:24 PM EDT

And it’s chilly like a winter’s day…..20s today but tomorrow the high will be 50! my Minnesota friends are still in total winter.

In 2023, the March equinox happens on March 20, at 5:24 P.M. EDT. This falls on a Monday and is the astronomical beginning of the spring season in the Northern Hemisphere and the autumn season in the Southern Hemisphere

  1. Winter in south Florida is great, spring is nice but it means Heat is on the way. But that’s okay because I like warm/hot as opposed to cold weather. Hard to believe how fast the seasons change. I must be getting old. dc

  2. Love the beautiful Daffodils, mine is buried under 6 feet of snow. Can’t wait to see green grass and flowers.

  3. That’s right. Your Minnesota friends are still in almost total winter. But we are beginning to see signs of spring, although a wintry mix of snow and rain is in Tuesday’s forecast. Argh. Enough already!

  4. It’s April 29th as I write this, and we still haven’t fully entered “spring” in MN. The flowers here are so confused…. That ice looked like a tree to me, too!
