I know these two couches had some adventures to tell. Shanti and I were headed to the Groceria in Bloomfield neighborhood to pick up a couple of meatball subs/hoagies/sandwiches for some friends. Oh my. I pulled over to the curb. Put the flashers on
We both got out of the car. She was as excited as I was to see TWO abandoned couches in front of the apartment building.
You do know I don’t go looking for these things, right? But there they were

Gorgeous street. What happens to the abandoned couches?
They will be picked up by the garbage truck.
Our rubbish trucks don’t pick up things like that unless you organise for a special one.
It varies here from city to city and many places don’t pick them up but in Pittsburgh PA and Columbus OH they do
Love the street! The couches… not so much—unless it’s garbage day and they’re waiting to be picked up. 😄
Yes they were waiting to be picked up by the garbage workers.
Two for the price of one!!
It’s the time of year when students are moving out and in.
Unbelievable
I know. There are so many.
The rare Double Discard Day! The last photo should be the cover of a book. THE GIRL WHO RAN IN CLOGS. SOON TO BE A MOVIE STARING SHANTI. DC
Great idea dc!
I’m hoping to get a new couch and chair soon (but don’t hold your breath) if we put them out I will let you know.😂
Yes I can’t wait!
It’s hard to keep up with the grandkids. Love that pic and your words.
It’s is a bit much sometimes. Thanks for looking and writing Audrey.
Thank you Audrey.
