A fun series to receive on the phone from my son Mark.
Looks like a depth of field exercise, too.
This is a “leaf bug” or katydid. A relative of the grasshopper and also called a bush-cricket in some parts of the world. Looks like such an interesting creature and is the perfection of camouflage.
Thanks Mark for sharing your Katydid and Kids study. love you. Mom
Can you see him/her?
Can you see him/her? Probably snacking on the foliage.
Oh my goodness these are wonderful ! Especially the last one. ! That photo needs to be published somewhere. It shows so many emotions!
PLUS a katydid is an amazing magician as well.
Thanks Kathryn. I’ll tell Mark your good words if he hasn’t read the comments on his guest post
True Talent !
This is a great series of photos! I agree with Kathryn. The last photo is fabulous. The Lego guys with the katydid and Jack looking over them reminds me of a scene from an episode of The Twilight Zone. Great work, Mark!
That was an excellent series of pictures – I enjoyed everyone one of them. Such creativity! I am impressed!
Great photos Mark!
GREAT SERIES! The last one priceless!
BE ENCOURAGED! E BLESSED!
Fascinating!
Great photos!
LOL on the Lego guys. 🙂
Mark, I knew when I first saw you as a newborn at Ft. Knox that you were destined to take fabulous photos like your mom!! No, all I knew for sure was that she had creative talent whether it was cooking or anything that had to do with art. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a katydid here in Indiana. Great photos of the humans, too, but the katydid shots are outstanding!!
Looks like the kid had lots of fun watching the cute bug. Great shots! 😀
That katydid better watch out – fabulous shots, what fun. What does a katydid do?
Wow, Mark got some fantastic pictures! He could guest-blog on the Lego one, too. 🙂 {http://legomyphoto.wordpress.com}
