Weekly Photo Challenge: Let There Be Light

I like the title of the challenge in this time of year when the days are growing shorter.  We’re asked to show the light source in our photos.

Just today I saw a box with a HAPPY LIGHT for sale, to ward off the season’s darkness and the impact it can have on your mood.

At school I teach about the different sources of light, manmade and natural.  There are so many different types of light.

Here are some examples of photos showing a variety of light sources.

  4. My favorites are the bonfire (stunning image), Laura’s birthday cake (I LOVE how both she and her husband have their hands over the boy’s mouths), and Jack with his sparklers (the image is so clear, and Jack looks SO happy!). Hmm… perhaps I have an issue with fire? 😉 Wonderful pics as usual, Ruth.

  7. what a brilliant selection. my favourite are the 4th of July sparklers which is the epitome of the joy of life, and Laura covering the boys’ mouths. that one is too funny 🙂

  8. It’s always fun to photograph fireworks, but you’ve really captured the magic there in that candle lit cake photo and in the last one with the young boy with “whatever it’s called” in his hands. 😀

  12. Great collection, Ruth, and reply for the challenge. Jack’s eyes are about as lit up as are the sparklers he’s holding. 🙂
