Joan has an array of thread colors and some are silky and some are shimmery.
So many different types of thread.
She makes beautiful fiber art,
and paints
and draws in ink.
Watch for her Female Martyr Series this summer.
You’ve seen Joan looking at Larimer School where she used to teach Art.
Even her pincushions are interesting.
An older photo of the thread collection
and Joan on her back porch. Her garden is so interesting. Will have to do a photo tour.
Joan grows the best rhubarb and puts up delicious apricot preserves.
One of my favorite things about quilting was sorting out and arranging all the beautiful colors so photos like your threads make me want to go find some beautiful colors to arrange!
Thanks Naomi. And I shared your Detroit post. It was wonderful.
School ends Friday so perhaps my replying to comments will increase but I certainly appreciate your visits and good words.
I love color and those thread colors are amazing.
Pretty!
Female martyr series, count me in! Is she showing anywhere?
Great photos, Ruth. The colours of the threads are so beautiful. Joan must be an extremely busy bee. 🙂
Nice back porch portrait.
Love the threads and curious about her series. Where will she show?
No place yet. The ink drawings of the martyrs are something to see.
I hope she finds a venue.
Nice back porch portrait.
I simply adore these shots.
The various colorful threads awaiting the next project. Lovely photos …
She seems like a very colorful individual. 🙂
