What’s going on in that upstairs window?
What’s with the pink front? I wonder. Is it painted that way or the reflection of light?
Ralph was typing frantically in the attic room he rented from Mrs. Kelly. Finally, finally the story was pouring out of him onto the page. And then . . . he heard an unexpected creaking of heavy footfalls on the attic stairs . . .

This looks much like the closing scene from any one of those crime-related shows. The shot slowly dims, leaving only the lit window before fading completely to black. “And the case remains unsolved …”
