The deadliest land mammal, my son told me at Christmas. According to the BBC News post
“Ungainly as it is, the hippopotamus is the world’s deadliest large land mammal, killing an estimated 500 people per year in Africa. Hippos are aggressive creatures, and they have very sharp teeth. And you would not want to get stuck under one; at up to 2,750kg they can crush a human to death.” BBCNews
When the kids were small , we had cute picture books about a Hippo couple-George and Martha. Guess not

This is a blue potato that got left behind for the soup. And sprouted.
Looked like a baby hippo to me.
An article “Are Sprouted Potatoes Safe to Eat?” Don’t eat the sprouts!
Lol, I definitely see a Hippo. so cute.
Me too! Glad hippos aren’t native to Pittsburgh!!! 🙂
Yes! Definitely.
Based on a quick review of your presentation I want no part of a hippo or a sprouted blue potato. Thank you for alerting me to the dangers of both. dc
I don’t think the North American house hippos are dangerous, though! (This is an actual commercial, aired for years in Canada, and one of my favourites… not just because I still want a house hippo…) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz1hXTZreBw
I’m going to watch now
Love it! I want one too.
Definitely a baby hippo. Hopefully not one that will grow into a dangerous one. 🙂
I see that baby hippo.
Reminds me of the song…I want a hippopotamus for Christmas…
Yowzers… that potato….. fitting that it represents the deadly hippo. 😉
Thanks Stef
