Your photography makes them quite beautiful, even though they’re dead.
I am thinking Joyce Kilmer now. I know that tree well. We pass it often. I cringe at the loss of trees. My hope is that one or more trees are planted for every one removed wherever that might be. We just had 8 diseased hemlocks removed beside our home. We have been promised that they will be replaced during the city’s replanting cycle in early Spring. I am looking forward to that day.
They have reached the end of their season.
What a beautiful old gnarly tree, it still stands tall, proudly displaying it’s battle wounds. So much character.
Sad. Will they be taken down?
