I like to sort the LEGO pieces by color and then by shapes. It’s relaxing. Having the colors and shapes sorted makes it easier to find the required pieces. I like to think I’m being helpful to my grandson. He’s really good at putting the creations together.

What a patient nature you have, Ruth! Lego pieces are so much more complicated these days.
You are right! Not just bricks. There’s a Danish film about LEGO history https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Lego_Brickumentary
I understand. I have my closet organized by colours. xo
Satisfying activity. I wish I’d photographed some of the other colors when I was visiting.
It’s a lovely way to spend time with your grandson.
Yes it is, Pam. It’s good to be there side by side, working together.
You are the best grandmother! I’d love to see one of his creations!
I will ask Laura to send a photo of one of the finished projects.
You are extremely patient. You are also a very “hands on” grandmother. A great combination.
Ruth – I do exactly the same thing when I visit my grandboys … except with Duplo. I’m sure Legos will take over very soon….. I find it very satisfying to look at the color groups.
I have no legos to deal with but I go thru the same process with my socks. Takes patience but I like having them match. dc
Over here we sort by color, but not by shape. We simply don’t have that much space…
