Saturday afternoon I received this photo from blog follower dc. A frequent commenter and friend. He says he wears this apron when he prepares “Hotdish” I was going to add it to the Aprons Then and Now post but I was attending a Fiber Fest in Delmont PA and didn’t get to add it. Then I thought no one would see it if I just added it to the original post so now I’m giving this great response its very own post!

A great apron. I’d like one that says I’d rather be writing than cooking! Honestly, I would have written so many more books if I hadn’t been cooking!!
That would be a perfect saying for your apron. Your books are wonderful.
Thanks!!
Ha ha – I’d rather be cooking!
You cooking post are always amazing. . .
I like it! I’d rather go to a ballgame than cook!
Almost time for opening day!
dc is a very good cook maybe he should consider wearing the apron when he plays golf gcr
lol
This is a great response to yesterday’s blog post and it’s a wonderful guest blog. It reminds me of the bumper stickers that were popular several years ago. I would see them on the backs of cars or in the rear windows. “ I’d rather be fishing.” Or “I’d rather be skiing.” Or “I’d rather be sailing.” I always thought mine would be “I’d rather be reading.” Now I listen to audiobooks and I can “read” no matter what I’m doing. I listen to audiobooks while I’m cooking, cleaning, walking, driving, etc., etc. My wish has come true!
As a Minnesotan, I love that dc is making hotdish (not casserole).
Inspired by you dear Minnesotan friend.
100%!
I’d rather be eating food other people make than cooking. 😉
