Brothmonger Soup Cafe in Bloomfield

Last week Steve brought home a quart of Potato Leek soup. Oh was it so good on a seriously cold winter night! He bought it at BrothmongerPittsburgh Based Soup Cafe

It’s almost right across the street diagonally (in the next block) from West Penn Hospital in the Bloomfield Neighborhood.

Ingredients are listed for all the soups as well as symbols if the soups are Vegetarian, Gluten Free, or Vegan options. In the Grab n Go Fridge there was a White Chicken Chili available, a Curry, Clam Chowder, Stuffed Pepper and the Broccoli Cheddar.

There’s a video below so you can meet the Brothmonger who started her soup business on social media.

I dropped off a quart of Broccoli Cheddar Soup with potatoes, along with a loaf of crusty Mancini bread to my friends’ home. This morning I received this wonderful photo

Thank you for sharing your photo, Tookie.
I so happy you & Jack enjoyed Brothmonger’s soup.

P.S. your hand embroidered napkin is so pretty

  1. Everything looks delicious. Nothing beats a grilled cheese sandwich with a bowl of hot soup. I would have never thought of adding lemon juice to soup. I’ll have to try it.

  2. Enjoyed the video (right after there was an old Johnny Carson/Bob Newhart clip very funny). I’m not all that much for soup but I’d be going to that place if she had one in Ft Myers. She was so nice and the soup did look good. I love places like hers, not some big chain. Good find Steve. dc

  3. Thank you so much Ruth! Your blog post is lovely. I am honored to serve the community and hope to see you back in the restaurant soon.

    • You will definitely see us back in Brothmonger soon. Gifting a quart of your delicious soup is my new favorite way to share warmth and care. ❤️
