On Thursday a Mother owl by pool enclosure clearly distressed
Follow up….Wildlife Rescue came out. Used a wicker basket, put the baby back up in a tree. Mama watched the whole process. Stay tuned.

  1. Great photos, beautiful story. So happy Wildlife Rescue was able to help out. I have Hoot Owls around my house and enjoy hearing them.

    • Yes thank goodness for Wildlife Rescue. I wonder how the owl’s vary in Maine from the Florida owls.

  2. When I attended Florida Atlantic U in Boca Raton Fl they were the Burrowing Owls, that was before they had a football team. That mascot did not cause fear for opponents so they are now just the Owls. Not sure how much difference that made. Here in Cape Coral burrowing owls are very much in the news. Cute little buggers and people go to great lengths to protect them. I hope the little owl in this story is okay. dc
