Throwback Thursday. This tiny China box was a gift from a friend in 1981.
Inside I have some old earrings and my HS class ring from 1970.
Don’t open it often but did today.

So sweet!
Thank you Pam
I wonder if class rings are a thing anymore. I had one from Taylor Allderdice Class of ‘67 but it was lost.
Good question Sue.
Sweet memories. Funny how class rings were so popular. I can’t remember the last time I saw anyone wearing one. My class ring was stolen and 35 years later found. A 80 year old lady was wearing it and a nurse recognized it didn’t belong to her. Nurse tracked me down on the internet thru class pictures and initials and delivered it to my mother.
Now that is the most amazing class ring story! WOW.
Love hearing the class ring stories. You brought back lots of fond memories of gifts from old friends and how our things lose their importance to others, but maybe not us.
Yes meaningful to us. You’re right. No one else has any interest.
Perfect ♥️
Wonder where my class ring ever went? I do recall it being a dark, maroon stone. Great nostalgia Ruth!
You may come across it someday.
It’s a special memory the day we received our class rings. We wore them proudly gcr
Yes we did ❤️.
