My granddaughter Anna was invited to a Tinned Fish Tasting.
Do you have a favorite tinned fish?
“We had tuna, sardines and smoked salmon”

And earlier on Sunday my friend Jen brought me a tin of fish by the same brand

Here’s a tin of anchovies I found on my pantry shelf

I like tinned fish. I have a tin of anchovies in my cupboard but I’m not sure what to do with them.
Put them on pizza? A Tapenade recipe? Chopped olives and capers with the anchovies? Caesar salad?
Tapenade is a great idea. Thanks.
I, too, like tinned fish. I like tuna. I like sardines. And I like anchovies. I don’t think I ever thought of them as “tinned fish” before. I have tins of all three of them in my basement pantry.
Thank you for commenting today.
Just tuna. But I think the idea of a tin fish tasting is so creative.
Fabulous – I’m a big fan of Spanish and Portuguese tinned fish which are very high quality. I’m in Spain now and love looking at the specialty tin shops! Some of them have a littel bar, where you can have a snack with a glass of wine or vermut.
Oh dear Mad Dog you always up it to the next level! I can envision the scene and you would be the ultimate host for a tasting. Thank you for looking and writing today.
I tend to prefer jarred to tinned
What’s available in glass? I’ve seen herring.
Tuna, mackerel, sardines, anchovies
Wow. Everything! That’s so great.
Such a fun and unexpected little adventure. Makes me realized that I might have been probably overlooking some good flavors stored in my own shelf!
You’ll have to let us know what you make!
Hi Ruth
We love sardines with hot spices and lemon. We tried quite a few flavours, but this is the best for us.
Nice tins!

Oh that sounds like a perfect combination . Thank you for looking and writing a great comment today.
Anna has some strange friends. dc
No canned fish for me. But, I do love all kinds of fresh fish.
No thank you to tinned fish. I’ll take other fish, though, except fish sticks, bullheads and tilapia.
