My friend Vincie inspired this post.
She was telling me her experience of seeing tress in the process of changing colors when she was on a recent New England vacation.
Her noticing the process and telling me about the mixed colors on the trees had me noticing and taking a photo.
We all know a photograph has limitations to capture mother nature’s work but the light was nice on this. tall tree as it was starting to turn to red from green.
I’ll have to get a couple of her photos to add to the post as we aren’t in New England here.
Here’s an article Why Leaves Change Color in the Fall
I’ll take another photograph in a few days

Gorgeous fall colours
They truly are gorgeous. Thanks for your nice comment Sheree.
On our first trip to New England in the fall, I was mesmerised by the colours.
Yes it’s magical.
I always wondered why the color change always starts at the top of the tree. I’m sure there’s some scientific reason
“Trees change color at the top first because those leaves receive the most direct sunlight and sit the farthest from the roots, making it harder for the tree to pump sap and nutrients to them as autumn begins”
The beautiful fall colors—my favorite time of year!
Mine too.
Vincie is always an inspiration. dc
Yes she is❤️
