Weekly Photo Challenge: Dreaming

definitions 3 and 4

a wild fancy or hope

a condition or achievement that is longed for; an aspiration

Not a long exposure photo as suggested by the challenge originator, but I took this picture Saturday morning at the T-Ball game and saw that line of little legs and shoes dangling, not long enough to reach the dirt.

Field of Dreams.  Dreaming of the big leagues, the hits, the runs. A double play.  A perfect pitch. Bases loaded. A championship, a home run, safe.

  2. Anyone who has ever lived and/or worked with kids knows the meaning of this photo – artful and so meaningful. Takes me back two generations of Little League with such loving memories. Brava for this one, RuthE – it’s an ad gem as well. Love, Lois

  5. Lovely shot Ruth! So evocative even without their faces, perhaps because of it. Amazing how our brains fill in the blanks 🙂

  8. So cute! And the other hidden mystery (on the path beyond sight around the corner and uphill) adds a solemnity that contrasts with the lightness of the peeking boy…beautiful!
