Centre Avenue on the way home from school. The lush green growth of summer.
I turned around after I’d passed it by,
pulled over to the curb, waited until the rush hour cars zipped past.
The reflection on the windshield was so bright, the atmosphere muggy, a bit of haze.

When Flat Ruthie was traveling courtesy of friend Shuey, she learned the origin of Kudzu and how it can grow a foot in a day.
The first photo with the red parking sign seems better but why I shot it so close to the edge of the frame is beyond me and I did it just the once.
So the police wouldn’t have it towed away? hope there are no bodies inside!!!
That is more or less the age of cars I can afford…
Looks like the “kudzu” vines we have in Florida. They are taking over everything.
Soon it will be overcome by the vines and no one will know it was there.
So funny that just in front of the car in the first photo is the sign for “Street Cleaning!” !!!!! Someone got it off the Street so it would not get a ticket!!!!!!!! 🙂
I had no idea that the kudu would thrive that far north!
What a great photo op. I’m so glad you shared these with us and that your turned around!!!
Yes, it is good to turn around and make the effort instead of be regretful later on. Thanks for your good words today Cee.
Almost looks like a hide-out of sorts.
I agree with several above commenters:
1) I’m glad you turned around and got the capture. Definitely one you don’t want to regret passing by!
2) I wonder why the police haven’t intervened yet. Here, this car would have been towed away days ago.
3) I also hope there is nothing nefarious inside the vehicle.
This looks like a background set for a horror movie , Ruth. Those kudzu vines are a real menace and I hope they find a way to stop them.
