James brought home a slice of cheesecake for each of us. He’d gone to Weiland’s Market. My flavor was plain New York Cheesecake. I saw the fresh cherries on the counter and thought they would make a nice addition to the dessert. Laura said “use the Cherry pitter”. It was out on the cutting board. How do I do it? “Like a stapler” she said. So easy. So fun. The juicy fresh fruit was a wonderful contrast to the rich cheesecake.
I ate half. Saved some for tomorrow.

Don’t think I have ever even seen a cherry picker!
Cherry pitter – best kitchen tool ever. (At least during cherry season)
Have one. Use infrequently.
My sister gave me one. Just one of many ways she has made my life better. dc
I think a cherry pitter is one of those things that is rarely used, but perfect to have when needed I also was gifted one and it’s in the back of the drawer …. but I know it’s there waiting for the right occasion …..
I never knew such a tool existed, but it appears to have worked slick. Cherries are one of my favorite fruits, along with strawberries, blueberries, peaches, watermelon…oh, I love fruit. Period.
I’ve never used one before, but it certainly looks like fun. Great addition to the cheesecake!
I have heard of these pitters, but have never used one. I love cherries, but buy them very infrequently – they are expensive here.
