Two discards in a week. One in Columbus Ohio but this one was right in my neighborhood. A couple of daily blog followers alerted me via text to the location of this upended couch. I walked to the spot, shot a few photos. It was 26 degrees outside so I didn’t linger. I loved that they saw abandoned furniture and thought of me.
They stood it up so at least it didn’t take up a lot of room.
In my town we have what’s called, big garbage day or maybe it’s “clean up week.” We have them 2 times a year. You can put anything out and they will take other than TVs and mattresses. I go around hunting for treasures! I find lots of gardening tools and pots. You can put stuff like this out anytime but you’ll be charge $15-$20.
That sounds like a good system your town has in place.
I think of you, too, each time I see abandoned furniture. I wish my community had a day like Alicia’s town.

Every Friday in Ft Myers FL the city will pick up whatever you put out. Fine pieces of furniture like todays post, W&D, mattresses, appliances and even old Fruitcakes! dc
