At the Museum

I let Charlie set the pace.

We went to the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Natural History Museum today.

He was allowed to touch the Meteorite and the Stalagmite and Yes , I bought him a Dirt Cup with a gummy dinosaur on top

Charlie was a was a terrific museum goer.

We decided we enjoyed the National Aviary birds who were alive and breathing, more than these stuffed specimens.

  1. It looks like you and Charlie had a great time! Your photo of the Hall of Gems and Minerals reminded me that my daughter-in-law — who has a Ph.D. in Geo-Chemistry — said that the Hall of Gems and Minerals in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History is the single best collection of gems and minerals she has ever seen, and it is also the best presentation because of the lighting and the beautiful display cases.

    • Your DIL’s professional endorsement is good to know! It’s an amazing display and we are fortunate to have such a collection in Pittsburgh. The dinosaurs are incredible, too.

  2. I took my small nephew to a museum yesterday, solidarity! I enjoy taking a child to a museum because they often see things differently or think of different questions.

  3. Hi Ruth
We love visiting museums with Siri and Selma.
In museums, one always has a great time. Siri and Selma like natural history museums and museums of modern art best.
