I let Charlie set the pace.

We went to the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Natural History Museum today.

He was allowed to touch the Meteorite and the Stalagmite and Yes , I bought him a Dirt Cup with a gummy dinosaur on top

Charlie was a was a terrific museum goer.

We decided we enjoyed the National Aviary birds who were alive and breathing, more than these stuffed specimens.

Miniature Dining Room at CMOA

Carnegie Museum of Art Miniature Gallery

“This dining room is one of three reproductions that Sarah Mellon Scaife commissioned around 1950. It was made by a New York gallery and interior decorator, French & Company, as a tiny copy of the actual dining room at Penguin Court, the Scaife residence in Ligonier, PA

The mansion at penguin Court has been demolished and the 900+ acre property is a conservancy

Stegosaurus Selfie

My son-in-law taking a selfie with the Stegosaurus. Carnegie Museum of Natural History. His favorite dinosaur when he was growing up. It was fun to see him enjoy the exhibit as much as his son Charlie.

Reflection at CMOA Last Day of 2018

Mary and I went to the Carnegie Museum of Art yesterday, the last day of 2018.

Here we are reflected in artist Dan Grahams Heart Pavilion sculpture.

Our weight appears to fluctuate depending on the curve of the mirror. Our legs reminiscent of Giacometti figures in the last shot. Even with all our holiday eating!

We’ve had a nice time together over the Christmas vacation.

Trying to find attribution to sculpture court artwork is challenging on the CMOA website.

Monday afternoon

We need rain but it’s coming so fast and furious on Tuesday, it’s running off and forming problems on  roadways, causing flooding in some areas.
