My friend Joanne travels a lot. She mentioned she takes off a plastic cover from a cup in the hotel room. She slips the remote inside. That way you aren’t touching where a thousand fingers have made their selections on the remote.

A great idea. Or give it a wipe with hand sanitizer which we all carry now.
Right after and during Covid many hotels did that. Good idea
