Cats Enjoy the Show -Guest Blog

A couple of cats from Lancaster PA, Jake and Sadie, are enjoying the show on the TV.

Of course the show is Lion King.

My friend’s sister-in-law is the photographer of her attentive cats! I have permission from her to share her photo but she’s happy to do so anonymously. Thank you.

I thought it was a great pic and needed to be shared.

I’ve seen and posted dogs watching television but never a cat. Here’s a recent post of Penny the Goldendoodle in a gallery of TV watching photos.

Reports from Joanne in St. Augustine Florida – Guest Blog

Here is what is happening with my friend Joanne in St. Augustine.

A guest blog report in gallery form.   It was actually Joanne’s  idea to post photos from friends in different locations showing what they have been doing as they shelter in place and are isolated from friends and family.  Since she has been updating me daily I’m a bit overwhelmed cause she has been doing A LOT.   Her to do list and the documentation of it is lengthy.  Here are some of the photos that tell the story of her activities in St. Augustine Florida (where my sister and I visited just last month) Thanks for sharing Joanne.  I am posting your crossword still life first.

It tells a story all by itself. She titles them Isolation Day Activities.  Here’s the gallery with her photos.  One thing I can tell you for sure is that is a lot brighter where she is than Pittsburgh PA.

These photos were taken throughout the week, not just one day. Phew!

Then she and Dan visited through a sliding glass door window

I can only imagine how heavy this television would be should one try to lift it.

Note the date on the calendar 1953!

Tidying Up

Tidying Up is on Netflix at Laura and James’ house where I’ve come to spend the weekend. Penny the Goldendoodle is mesmerized, watching Marie Kondo.

Have you emptied everything in your closet and drawers onto the bed and decided, item by item if it sparks joy?

A Wish for Every Happiness

A wish for every happiness, always.

Cheers to the newly married royal couple.

Love one another is the perfect theme for the world.

Today I saw my parents’ fiftieth wedding anniversary (1939-89) champagne flutes in Mark and Erika’s China cabinet. Mark and Erika (2002) and Laura and James (2011) both used these flutes at their weddings.

I had set the alarm this morning for five AM but Grandma Mar woke up before then and texted me upstairs. We’re here together this weekend, watching the grandkids. We woke up the girls and they made it down to the couch. They fell back asleep, snuggled in blankets until we woke them up when the bride arrived at Windsor Castle.

Friends I know were watching snd texting from Florida and Pennsylvania. It was a very happy day. Wishing Harry and Meghan a long and happy life together.

Bedford and Grove Streets corner. Greenwich Village. New York City.  You see tour groups checking it out, snapping photos.  So that’s exactly what we did when we were visiting my sister in NYC Thanksgiving 2015.

Me on Big Screen TV, Sort of

When I parked the car to go to coffee this morning, I saw this huge TV on the sidewalk, waiting for the trash.

(Another title could be Trash Selfie?)

Me on Big Screen TVYes it was really windy.

The inviting scene as I parked the car.
