Two Upright Sweepers Wait for Pick Up

My family always called these vacuum cleaners but in Pennsylvania you “run the sweeper”.  These two are in Clintonville (Laura’s Neighborhood) when we walked on Saturday. The sun shone down on them as they stood at attention.

A portfolio of my work would be incomplete with the garbage studies.

  1. I’m sending this pic to our Mayor. If Clintonville finds it economical to use sweepers to keep its streets clean, why can’t we?

  2. A lovely capture Ruth. Isn’t it funny how somehow, because they are isolated here in a pic, that they somehow look Robot-Like, or semi-human. And if I was really clever I would be able to come up with the correct terminology for what I’m trying to say!………..I’ll get my coat!

  5. We use the term “vaccuum”, too. A sweeper is either a Swiffer, or a broom. 🙂

You do have a knack for finding treasures among the trash. Call it photo-realism. 😉
