Steve and I took the grandchildren to Harmarville to BOWL on Saturday afternoon. Just looked up the history of bowling and never knew the Ancient Egyptians bowled.
The lanes we bowled in felt pretty wild.
Michael and Maura put their hands over their ears for some of the rocking video tunes
Music videos are projected on screens over the lanes and spots of disco lights all colors, swirl and flash.
A total sensory experience. Stimulating, for sure. (Perhaps overly so)
Even the size numbers glowed on the back of the shoes and the bowling balls seemed to glow.
Three out of our six bowlers were left handers! I think it is a lot harder than it looks. All in all we had a fun time.
(Photo lightened a tad so you could see their faces)
Steve, originally from the Akron Ohio area, is a natural bowler. 🙂

I love the glow in the dark balls. The kids are cute too;)
Judging by the smiles- a great way to enjoy the day with family!
Looks like fun!
Looks like fun! Brings a new dimension to the game 🙂
Pretty amazing photos. The bowling lane looks more like a water-filled Olympic swimming pool.
Light bright is right!! Fun stuff!! Looks like a great weekend for everyone!
Very retro! (Or discotheque-esque.) Did this take place at night? Feels like a club scene….
Saturday afternoon. You walk into this strangely lit and crazy stimulating space, right in the middle of the day
That feels like a very surreal experience.
I love bowling. Too bad I’m not good at it. Still – fun! 😀
