Bowling Ball Garden in Brookline

Bowling Ball Garden in Brookline. Hopeful for Spring.

This was shot two weeks ago but I wanted to post this bowling ball garden in a Pittsburgh neighborhood- Brookline. Thanks to Donna for finding it for me.

Light Bright Bowling

Steve and I took the grandchildren to Harmarville to BOWL on Saturday afternoon.  Just looked up the history of bowling and never knew the Ancient Egyptians bowled.

The lanes we bowled in felt pretty wild.

Michael and Maura put their hands over their ears for some of the rocking video tunes

Music videos are projected on screens over the lanes and spots of disco lights all colors, swirl and flash.

A total sensory experience. Stimulating, for sure.  (Perhaps overly so)

Even the size numbers glowed on the back of the shoes and the bowling balls seemed to glow.

Three out of our six bowlers were left handers!    I think it is a lot harder than it looks.   All in all we had a fun time.

Steve, originally from the Akron Ohio area, is a natural bowler.  🙂

None of these are stellar shots, but the collection of random sampling – what I see when I drive around the different parts of the city, makes for an interesting hodge podge.

What do you see where you live that catches your eye today?

The Color of Bowling Balls (2 images)

Picked Michael up from a birthday party at the  Saw Mill Lanes in Columbus.  The balls were the color of Granny Smiths or Neon Orange.
