Broccoli Yes or No?

This broccoli on the stovetop was sautéed with garlic and olive oil. .

Growing up I never really cared for the taste of it.

I feel differently now.

How do you feel about this vegetable? how do you like it prepared?

  1. I say yes / but think it should always be cooked and some folks (like at Heart and Soil) suggest skipping most veggies because they are more survival foods –
    – but I think your sautéed versio sounds good!

  2. I like most vegetables, but I absolutely LOVE broccoli. It doesn’t matter if it’s sautéed with garlic and olive oil of if it’s steamed. It’s probably my single favorite food. I’m a vegetarian, and I eat more broccoli than any other food. My wife says I’m addicted to broccoli, and I should join a 12-Step program for broccoli addicts! 🙂

  3. I personally love the richness in taste of broccoli now. But, when I was younger at supper my mother would try to feed it to me, I would just refuse. My favorite way to prepare it for my wonderful family is to go to the farmers market on Sunday after church with my 3 amazing grandchildren and my loving children. We love getting the fresh broccoli there. Then we bring it home and I prepare it with salt and olive oil then throw it into the oven for Sunday family supper. Great photograph Ruth!

  4. I have always loved broccoli but prefer broccoli I now especially sauted in olive oil with shallots and garlic and served over pasta.

  5. Broccoli is a big yes at our house. My husband and I eat at least 1 serving every day. Sautéed or roasted are the preferred options.
