Nighttime Snowplay

Friday evening. Charlie headed down the porch stairs to join the neighbors to play in the unexpected snow.

Columbus Ohio Friday Night

  1. An unexpected snow had fallen in Columbus. The street lamp across the street cast the small man, or perhaps a young boy, walking up the steps. A Subaru Outback parked in front of the house was covered in snow. The Subaru loved snow. It charged through it like its owner charged through the isles of a yarn store when yarn was on sale. As luck would have it, there was a sale in the morning at The Darn It Shop and grandma would be first in line no matter how much snow fell during the night. Her grandson begged to go with her in the morning but only because he thought she said she was going to The Donut Shop first thing in the morning. The snow kept falling…..dc

    • What a good story teller you are! Laura showed me how to start my car remotely for the first time and put on full heat, loosening the accumulation on the Subaru. It’s the Subaru’s first snow as it usually lives at home in a garage. I think a visit to 614 KnitStudio will wait until Monday 😂

  2. Snow! The kids love! I probably did as a kid. Now not so much. It is beautiful, though.

  3. Unexpected snow days (and nights!) are among the best. C and Pearl have both taught me how to re-enjoy the snow.
