Ohio Rest Stop Flag Display on a Windy Day

“As of early May 2026, Ohio flags are flying at half-staff to honor three Ohio Air National Guard members—Sgt. Tyler Simmons, Capt. Seth R. Koval, and Capt. Curtis J. Angst—killed during Operation Epic Fury. Governor Mike DeWine ordered the flags at all public buildings and grounds statewide to remain lowered until sunset on the day of their funerals”

We are headed to Athens Ohio (not Greece) to celebrate and honor Anna who is graduating from college tomorrow.

Apalachicola FL Oyster Radio Beat Us to Publication- Guest Blog from St. George Island

Oyster Radio from Apalachicola already posted one of the photos my guest blogger Kristin sent me earlier today.  Direct from St. George Island, Florida.

This is what she saw as she looked out the window.

There was lightning and strong winds.  I asked her if she could hear anything from the waterspout.

I had to go and look up waterspout as I’ve never seen one.

The National Ocean Service explains a  waterspoutWater SpoutTo give you a better perspective, you can see their house in the picture (this is the one Oyster Radio already showed) You might remember the Century Plant from last year.
