April Snow in Ohio – Guest Blog

Photo sent to me by my friend Terry on Wednesday April 21st . Taken from her window. We had a dusting of snow and lots of chilly wind in Pittsburgh but here’s what it looked like in Ohio near Akron.

April Weather

April first it snowed. There’s been sunshine, rain, blue skies, and fog. It’s been hot, it’s been cold. Windy and still. We’re only two weeks into April. Only thing constant in our weather is change.

1916 Winter Storm Durand Illinois

From my Grandmothers’s Album. More than 100 years ago.

These winter photos look similar to posts I’ve seen the last few days. No hand pump for water these days. But the snow looks familiar.

Lightning Captured by Jack

Guest blogger today is grandson Jack (13) who used Slo-Mo to capture lightning in a storm the other night. He texted it to me so I uploaded it and am sharing it with you. It was an unexpected bright spot to receive the lightning.
Here’s the link to the 12 second clip.

May Snow and Blossoms Guest Blog

May Blossoms and Snow video captured in Ohio by Terry Sherry. She texted this afternoon and I asked if I could post her capture of the snow falling.

It’s quick but she documented the unexpected May weather. Thanks Terry. I heard it snowed in places in Pittsburgh too but I didn’t see it. She told me there was a duck in the pond but we can’t see him. Brrrrrrrrrrrr.
