It smells nice, I can feel it. My grandmother’s and mother’s specialty were some “apples in the bathingcoat” with cinnamon and sugar. Here is the picture of it; http://www.recepti.hr/recepti/jela/jabuke-u-slafroku
..great thing for sundays. I think it’s a recipe originaly from Austria, not sure. The “bathingsuit” is made from the same matherial as pancakes, but with more flower in it.
I put about 1/2 golden balsamic and a 3/4 c water in bottom go glass baking dish
Added apples cored in half (skin on).added a dab of butter in each core hole and baked til done about 45 min
OK, so when are you going to invite us all over for a taste???
I’m imaging walking into the kitchen as these bake and the aromas that would fill the space
Were they delicious? I might try it. I have some apples in the fridge.
Delicious

Oh do they look delicious. Love the photo. Bet they smell so good too. Thanks for the nice comment from Croatia.
Sorry for this mistake, not “flower”, but “flour”. Even though, some flower would be a nice adding to this dessert ! Lavander maybe…
I knew what you meant. Now I need Matthew to translate your recipe!!
Makes the house smell so welcoming.
Does balsamic still taste vinegar-y after it’s been cooked down? Or does it get sweet as it bakes?
Sweet and soury tang. I like it but maybe not everyone would
And the recipe?

Just made it up no real recipe
Was gonna’ request the recipe too. Will have to try this. It sounds delish!
Thanks for sharing 🙂
BTW – What type of apples did you use?
I used honey crisp for this batch.
Oh – ok. Thanks again!
Thanks. 🙂
This is perfect. I love baked apples and have never done them this way.
