My grandmother Charlotte in the hat and coat standing in front of the snow and my grandfather Judd with the shovel. Durand, Illinois. We had five inches yesterday in Pittsburgh.
Nothing like this!

I remember those “big” snows growing up in upstate NY. I do miss it sometimes…I’m over it now though.
Know you are enjoying Florida life.
I love the nostalgic feeling these photos bring..
Thanks Terry.
Love this picture and all the others too.
Thanks Pat.
That’s a lot of snow
Serious snow!
YIKES! That is some serious snow! How intimidating to have to shovel that much snow.
A lot of back pain I bet
Makes five inches look like nothing!
Seriously.
Beautiful picture, isn’t it amazing how they handled all that snow with shovels. Today we have everything and still struggle to get the job done.
Everything is relative. In 2007, we had 11 meters of snow at our home in Tret, Italy. YIKES!
Yikes that is an amazing amount of snow. Thanks for visit and comment today.
This reminds me of the snowstorms of my youth on the southwestern Minnesota prairie.
What treasures are these photos.
I am fortunate to have my grandmother’s photo album
Incredible. I can remember two snow storms like this in my life – both happened in northern Indiana. Lake effect snow is no joke!
They didn’t even live where there was lake effect
Whoa. That pic is even more impressive!
