My grandson Michael and his teammates got the opportunity to play on the professional basketball court on Friday afternoon. We took a bus from Columbus Ohio to Indianapolis Indiana and the Indiana Pacers and Bankers Life Fieldhouse staff were most welcoming. Since I don’t have permission to post the Middle and High Schoolers photos online, I am showing the Purdue University Choir singing of the National Anthem before tip-off of the Pro game we watched Friday evening. The Pacers played the Pelicans. (click the bold for game recap) Marquette grad Wesley Matthews scored 15 of his 24 points in the third quarter. Very exciting to watch him tie it up and then go ahead after the Pacers lagged behind for the entire first half of the game. Pacers won 126-111.
We got back to Michael’s school about 12:50 AM and it’s almost 2 AM now so I will sign off.
Brothers Reed House Concert Weekend Pittsburgh PA
Early Saturday Morning, The Brothers Reed, Phil and Aaron, and their friend and cameraman Daniel hit the road for a Saturday night gig in New York City. The brothers from southern Oregon and Daniel in from L.A.
Friday night the brothers played a House Concert at my home. An enjoyable evening of great music, shared with good friends.
Their mom’s high school friend drive down a couple of hours from Erie for the concert.
I’d hosted the Brothers in May 2016, too.

Meet Zoe Papadopoulou. My wonderful seat mate on flight from Munich to Toronto. You know, I’m an anxious flier so it was lovely to be seated next to someone who loves the adventure and excitement of flying.
She’ll be singing with two other well known Greek singers in a special concert this Friday in Toronto.

Steve said, come on let’s go -so I put my book down and layered up in warm clothes and we headed down. Ordered a draft. Settled into a booth and listened to some great musicians take the chill off the almost winter night.

Piano Tilting, Tuning and Repair
Joe DeFazio is featured today in the People at Work Series- Primarily Pittsburgh
From upstairs, I could hear him playing the piano after it was tuned and it sounded wonderful. (after years of neglect) He’s an excellent musician.
It was my first time seeing a piano tilted to be worked on. I asked if he would be part of my People at Work Series and he graciously agreed.

The Brothers Reed Play Pittsburgh
The Brothers Reed drove from Oregon to Pittsburgh with stops along the way.
Tomorrow it’s Atlantic City, New Jersey and Sunday they are playing in New York City. A musical tour. They contact me last November about playing in Pittsburgh and I said let me see if I can find someone to host. You know when no one else said yes, I called them back and said Come on to Pittsburgh. They found me through a blog post about the house concert with Christopher Mark Jones
Oh, are they good.
When they were warming up in my living room,I was sitting in the dining room and the first sweet chords and clear harmonies brought a lump in my throat, I was so moved by their song.
The audience clapped heartily and were enthusiastic for their music.
