Laura and James and Charlie’s neighborhood.
I’ve noticed a tremendous increase in Halloween decorations in Pittsburgh, too.
Guess people are feeling the spirits?
The Asian Lantern Festival at the Pittsburgh Zoo Now through October 30th. This is just a sneak peek. Steve and I were headed to get gas and I was able to pull over to get a quick peek through the Zoo fence.
Be sure to see Becky B’s Wavelight as she hosts the #JanuaryLight challenge
My post today is Twinklelights and two gate guards in Millvale PA. Wednesday night.
I was looking for a Throwback Thursday photo and found this black and white shot of the city at night. Light Up Night is in November, the Friday before Thanksgiving and you can see the effort to light up the city with every available watt. I’m pretty sure I could take a better image now so will try to retake this coming November 2019.

Granddaughter Maura (just turned ten) texted me a night photo of a Christmas house. For the blog!
Last night, after Steve and I grabbed a bite, we drove through a neighborhood in search of a few more photos to add to Maura’s.
It’s dark so early now as we approach that shortest day of light.
Here’s the house in Columbus Ohio that Maura sent.
Thanks for the good idea, Maura. What a lot of colorful decorations!
Below are a few Pittsburgh houses, mostly taken from the car except for the snowy animals. I had to get out.
This evening Steve and I went to the Holiday Dinner and the lights display Let it Glow at the Phipps Conservatory in Schenley Park. The food was good and there were flickering candles in glass lanterns lighting the curvy paths throughout the Conservatory. The winter lights in the darkness were festive and fun to see.
