What’s the Story ? Guest Blog

While up on a roof, checking out a potential building in downtown Millvale, Amy McCall saw this scene. She sent me this intriguing photograph. I asked if she be guest blogger today and she consented.

What’s the story? Write a caption for this photo- up on the roof. There’s definitely a story here.

You’ve met Amy and her yarn store, McWalker Yarns, on the blog before .

Rocking Horses in the City

Found a new rocking horse in the city on Wednesday night. East Liberty near the Fireside Grill. Where Zeke’s Coffee roasts their beans. Must be Zeke’s mascot?

Here’s a Gallery of rocking horses seen around Pittsburgh, from previous blogposts.

Rooftop Deck View of City from the Southside

The holiday lights down below give the clue as to the time of year.  Two gatherings Friday night. Live music at both.  Extraordinary piano playing.  Walked up to the third floor and out the door onto the roof.  Propped the camera up on the deck railing and shot without the cable release. The lights felt magical. A beautiful cold winter night.

Night view of the city from the South Side.
Rooftops fascinate me. A terrific vantage point.

November Afternoon View Cathedral of Learning Pittsburgh

Driving down Josepehine Street after school I had to pull over, take this picture. The light on the Cathedral was  reflected just before the sun set.

Just before sunset, November afternoon.
