Today was a good day- Weekly Photo Challenge

June 25, 2015.

The challenge was to create a gallery of a good day.

I tried the MESH app recommended for the challenge but was incredibly frustrated using it.  Will wait until they work out the bugs.

Here is a regular gallery of Today was a good day.

The story of June 25th has an introduciton  with a late afternoon (6/24)  photograph of Laura and Maura.

Penny Remembers Before the Baby Came

The blog is back in real time today. No flashbacks, no reblogs from six years ago.

Penny, the Golden Doodle, looks at the baby Charles and remembers when she was the center of attention.

Perhaps I should have made this a wordless Wednesday or a

With a new baby in the house, Penny seeks reassurance and is probably wondering when baby Charlie will be leaving. It’s an adjustment .

My daughter Laura , (the new mother) shot this quick moment today as I was getting up.

You saw Penny’s paw included in the new family handshake a couple posts ago.

The night Charles was born, I brought a cloth diaper from the hospital so she could get his scent. Little did she know how life would change.

P.s.  Tomorrow after this posts, my DIL will tell me Henry the Airedale is upset because  he isn’t featured or included on the blog.

Thanks V for the idea to blog Penny and Grandma

New Family Handshake

You know those photo greeting cards with the tiny hand in the big hand?

The touching closeups?

I was going for a similar feel with the new parents and grandson Charlie who was a week and a day.

First Cousins Meet for the First Time

Not even 24 hours old. My daughter Laura and her husband James have a new member of the family.

Charles Joseph.  7 pounds 15 ounces.  19 1/2 inches long.

He arrived Thursday night but Anna and Michael were home in bed resting up for the Peppe Meet at Ohio State Swim Club Friday afternoon.

Friday morning, we went to Riverside hospital on the way to the swim meet. It was on the way to OSU.
