Have Bike Will Travel Guest Blog

I received an email from long time friend Shuey. You’ve seen his contributions to the blog before . You might remember his most viewed post of the Barred Owl ? from 2012. Here’s what he sent .

Ruth,
Picked up a used motorcycle today in Tucson Arizona. It’s the same make and model as the first one I had, 2007 Honda ST 1300.

Left Tucson today on road to VanHorn, Texas. About three hours before getting to VanHorn, while going through El Paso, I looked left to change lanes and was stunned at seeing this rainbow. Managed to pull over safely and snapped this pic, it was beautiful. About 10 miles before arriving at VanHorn, the sun was setting, and I managed to get a snap of this part of it. Hope your day went well. Mine is great.
Shuey

Thanks Shuey for sharing your stunning photographs.

tourists in AustinTourists in Austin. We had so much fun.

Not too sure about the hat driver Steve wanted me to sport while he photographed the four of us.  Joanne (the MOB)  had the idea we should tour the city and it was a wonderful plan!  Thanks for taking the photo, Steve.

duck for branchesI think our tour guide (with the shades) thought I was going to get whacked with a branch.

They instruct you to NOT touch the branch as it might fling back into the next person behind you.

DUCK!!!

Texas Breakfasts

Friday and Saturday mornings- starts of the day in Texas

The vibrant colors seemed a cheerful welcome to Saturday’s Wedding Celebration. Top two taken with the Canon 50D

Making Good Use of the Grapefruit Knife

The last of the Christmas gifts of fruit.

Starting the day off with refreshing citrus-  Ruby Red Grapefruit from Texas.

I don’t use it often, but dug out the old grapefruit knife to loosen the sections. The best part is squeezing all the juice into the spoon at the end.

Slurp!
