Hats in the Air- Congrats Class of 2015
A lot of excitement in the air, in addition to the tossed hats.
Looked up mortarboard and yes, it’s named after the bricklayers/plasterer’s tool – the hawk.
I was thinking it was my last official photography gig for the school as I retire this week but then I remembered that Monday night is COMMUNITY DAY. One more official gig.
On to the future. You can see the University of Pittsburgh Cathedral of Learning in the distance. A beautiful day.

The Final Fire Drill and Floral Bouquets
Something smoking in in the culinary room. You know how easily the smoke alarms go off when you burn toast at home.
You always know it isn’t just a drill when you hear the trucks come. All was checked out and fine.
And two girls were waiting for me at my classroom door yesterday morning, bouquet in hand.
What a surprise! Thank you girls. That was so sweet.

Friday the last day with students, Two classes take finals. Then it is clerical days next week, gradebook entries and RETIREMENT begins.
