Throwback Thursday ABBA

What ABBA songs do you know? Mamma Mia? Money, Money, Money? Lay All Your Love on Me?

A fun night with good friends and the Star!

ABBA concert nostalgia with Waterloo, Fernando and Dancing Queen.

The original group’s bass guitarist Mike Watson played tonight- he is the backward facing Napoleon on ABBA’s Waterloo 1974 album cover!

We got to meet the star of the show prior to the concert. Very exciting

Here’s an interview with Matilda Lindell of course she donned a fabulous blonde wig for the performance. People were dancing in the aisles.

Honoring Uncle Alan Hendricks

Our father’s younger brother, Alan Ray Hendricks.

My sister photographed the memorial brick she had installed to honor Uncle Alan. She visited The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Thanks for ordering the brick and for sending me the photo, Mary.

Commemorative Bricks

“With a brick at The National WWII Museum, you have a unique opportunity to create a lasting tribute to loved ones who served their country.

Cider Doughnut Season

It’s Cider Doughnut season in New England.

How about your neighborhood?

Here is a recipe for Baked Cider Doughnuts to make at home

Cider doughnuts are American cake doughnuts flavored with reduced apple cider and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. A quintessential autumn and harvest tradition, they are especially popular in the Northeastern United States, where they are often found at apple orchards, cider mills, and farm stands during the fall

Bought a warm one Sunday morning at Idylwilde Market in Acton Massachusetts.

Marty the Supermarket Robot

We parked in the lot at the Stop & Shop supermarket in Acton, Massachusetts.

Eileen and Linda told me we’d look for Marty the Robot.

Marty the Robot roams the aisles and has some tasks he can accomplish.*.

We looked up and down and discovered he was plugged in at the front, charging.

Marty the Robot is 7 feet tall

Marty the Robot video at work

At Stop & Shop, Marty is a seven-foot-tall autonomous robot that patrols store aisles to improve the customer experience by detecting spills and other hazards on the floor, as well as scanning shelves to identify out-of-stock or misplaced items. Using computer vision and AI, Marty alerts store associates to issues, helping to create a safer environment and ensure on-shelf product availability. Marty is not a replacement for employees but rather a tool to support them, allowing them to spend more time assisting shoppers”
