Cider Doughnut Season

It’s Cider Doughnut season in New England.

How about your neighborhood?

Here is a recipe for Baked Cider Doughnuts to make at home

β€œCider doughnuts are American cake doughnuts flavored with reduced apple cider and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. A quintessential autumn and harvest tradition, they are especially popular in the Northeastern United States, where they are often found at apple orchards, cider mills, and farm stands during the fall”

Bought a warm one Sunday morning at Idylwilde Market in Acton Massachusetts.

Autumn color in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania is hard to beat. The barn was filled with the smell of apples.
