Two Colors in a Single Azalea Blossom -a guest blog

My friend Vincie suggested her cousin Gloria send me this unusual azalea blossom photo today. I can see why! It’s unique.

Two colors in a single blossom.

I looked up bicolor azaleas but they are not like this amazing blossom.

We’ve not had a hard frost yet and it’s been warm for November

If any of you gardeners have experienced this phenomenon, I hope you’ll comment below. Thanks

Thanks for sending this amazing photo of your two color blossom, Gloria. Good idea, Vincie.

Blossoms on the First Day of Fall

The Iris are blooming again. For the third time in just a few months .

Silent Sunday

What I found in my garden when I returned home after being gone two weeks
Hibiscus with five more buds

One Hardy Hibiscus

There’s a new plant, a Hardy Hibiscus, in my front garden and it blossomed. A single bloom. Very exciting to see the vibrant pink unfold.

Then I walked up to the park and saw what’s in the second photo!

Maybe next year.

A single blossom on my new Hardy Hibiscus plant
Too many Hardy Hibiscus blossoms to count

There are More Buds to Open

The second bloom iris is at it again with a new bloom and there are at least three more to open if they don’t freeze some night soon.

An Iris in November

I think the iris thinks it’s Spring.

Tonight we’ll be below freezing.

A Sure Sign

Even if the temperature was 34 degrees this morning, this flowering pear blossom said Spring to me.
