The number of Jelly Beans in the Jar is 528 so Gloria came in as the winner tonight as she guessed 500 and didn’t go over the total amount.
Thanks everyone for looking and guessing.
I’m on the left and Maura
asleep on my iPad on the right. You can see the computer hinged lid. Maybe an iPad, too.
(corrected by Maura, what is really happening in the picture she drew)
Here’s a photo I received from my DIL on Thursday. My youngest granddaughter Maura (4) drew a picture. There is another version where we have ears, and I mean EARS!!! Maybe I’l lost that one, too.
When I visit in Ohio, I sleep on a mat in Maura’s room. She gets her Hello Kitty Sleeping bag and camps out, too.
So she drew herself sleeping on the right, while old Grandma(me) is next to her on the left, BLOGGING on the computer! She always says, “you can do the blog in my room.”
It is cool that everyone wants to contribute to the effort. Thanks supportive Family!!
Limiting myself to a single image, shot on my iPhone at school. I like to document their artwork.
Teaching art to K-8 students, I had many choices.
I am posting this first grader’s response to the question What is Your Favorite Thing About School?

After a drive from Rhode Island School of Design to Erie PA and then today to Braddock, PA, Justin Sorensen is setting up his artwork for Friday night’s opening at UnSmoke Artspace . Yesterday’s blogpost showed Aaron Meyers installing his portion of the exhibition but Justin hadn’t arrived yet.
I called Aaron and asked if I could come over and shoot Justin for the blog and he said it was fine by them.
I drove over with my neighbor who can’t make the opening so he could catch a preview of the exhibition. Justin was a good sport and we didn’t stay too long as they were really busy completing the final preparations. Twenty four hours later and Aaron was still drilling into the brick walls.
They took a break and showed us around and I was able to capture Justin and his artwork for today’s post and photos. Opening Friday night at 6 PM. Unsmoke Artspace 1137 Braddock Avenue, Braddock PA.
It is almost breakfast time in Zagreb. I’m getting ready for bed. Thirty years ago, November 20, 1980, 10:10 AM -born in Clarion PA. Almost Thanksgiving. My mother flew out to help and then my father drove out from Philadelphia and surprised us. Here is a colored pencil drawing I started with things from Matthew’s childhood. The legal pad and pencil are drawn, not real. I placed a few photos on top. It was Matthew’s idea to commemorate birthday and special occasions on the blog. So Happy 30th Birthday Matthew. Love you and miss you. Ma
