Petey Goes to the PGH Marathon

Petey was walking on the sidewalk along the PGH Marathon route ( with Jacob).

I said what everyone probably always says to Jacob- “Oh my goodness! “Little Rascals Dog!” (filmed in the 1930’s as it turns out, YIKES)

Jacob graciously allowed me to photograph Petey AND told me how he found Petey in an animal shelter.  Petey has a Mickey Mouse Mark on the top of his head and Jacob used to have a dog named Mickey.

A forever home for Petey is a very happy story.  Lucky dog.

Rescue Dog George Watches the Parade

Meet George.

He was abandoned last week.  Now he’s sitting up in  a doggie stroller with a squeaky toy and LOTS of attention from his new owners.  One lucky dog!

He was watching the Etna Memorial Day Parade on Monday. I included some parade highlights so you can see what George saw.

Nothing like a marching band to get the parade going!  Anchors Aweigh they played.

Margaret a Giant Schnauzer Rescue and Rae & Nick Left a Wedding Bouquet

Monday morning started out foggy but as the day wore on it burned off.

And darn if I don’t have another Ailanthus tree to cut down and try and get the roots out. These supposed trees called Tree of Heaven are definitely invasive.  Ugh.

When I got to the Mellon Park fountain for a photo shoot, I saw a wedding bouquet and an abandoned fan with the names

Rae and Nick    8-2-14

And then right in the middle of the shoot, I met Margaret a 7 month old Giant Schnauzer named Margaret and I gave her owner a postcard with the blog address and said to email me and I’d send the pic.  What a distinctive looking dog.

Maragaret the Rescue Schnauzer

Margaret has a lot of creative energy.  You can just tell. She is still a pup but about 70 pounds!!!

Well, Giant Schnauzer.  A lucky dog to be a rescue.

Another view of the abandoned bouquet at the fountain.
